IMPLEMENTATION AREA: the entire Warmia-Masuria province

TARGET GROUP:
120 persons (including 108 women and 12 men) adult third-country nationals (TCN), residing in the Warmian-Masurian province and 60 members of their families (children up to 18 years of age, including 36F/24M planned) .
Project participants must reside in Poland legally, i.e. on the basis of documents authorizing residence and work, such as a visa, residence card (temporary, permanent or long-term resident in the EU) or a document confirming protection. The project will give preference to people who, after the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, were provided with temporary protection in Poland. The target group will also include 36 people from the TCN environment (the host society) who live in the WWM area (e.g. people involved in social life, local leaders, children). Project activities are implemented for the benefit of the host society only to the extent that it responds to the needs and problems of the TCN target group (third country citizens).
Support under the project is provided to third-country nationals, i.e. persons who are not citizens of an EU Member State or countries such as Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland,
including stateless persons within the meaning of the Convention on the Status of Stateless Persons of 28 August 1954 and persons without established citizenship.
PROJECT PURPOSE:
The aim of the project is SOCIAL ACTIVATION AND STRENGTHENING INTEGRATION WITH THE HOST SOCIETY of 120 (108 women/12 men) adult third-country nationals (TCN) and their families (60 children), legally residing in the Warmian-Masurian province (hereinafter: PP) by using comprehensive individualized support, including, depending on the diagnosed needs: legal and psychological assistance, a Polish language and culture course, cultural and educational workshops and the "Eco-Competent" training in the period from 1.10.2024 to 31.07.2025, the effect of which will be the improvement of the social situation of at least 108 PP.
FORMS OF SUPPORT:
Task 1 DIAGNOSIS OF NEEDS
TASK IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD: 01.11.2024-30.04.2025
mandatory support for 120 adult Participants (PP) together with family members (children) joining the project, in a stationary form, individualized support - identification of problems and needs of each PP and their loved ones. During the implementation of the classes, TRANSLATOR SUPPORT is planned - in the event that free communication between the instructor and the PP is not possible, in a language understandable to both parties; support is planned for approx. 50% of Participants.
REALISATION: : 2h/PP/family in the form of 1 individual meeting x 2 hours.
SCOPE:
- identification of problems, needs, expectations related to social integration, strengths and weaknesses of the Participant, diagnosis of barriers and deficits, including special needs, including people with disabilities. The psychologist will use diagnostic tools, including psychological/motivational/competence tests. Support in the project has been planned based on an individual diagnosis of needs and characteristics for each PP (with particular emphasis on children), which results in the forms of support necessary to improve their social situation.
BENEFITS FOR PARTICIPANTS:
- reimbursement of travel costs (in the case of classes outside the place of residence - funds were assumed for 50% of the PP),
- interpreter support during classes (in the case when free communication between the instructor and the PP cannot be conducted in Polish - funds were assumed for approx. 50% of the PP).

Task 2 LEGAL AID
TASK IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD: 01.11.2024-31.05.2025
support for 60 adult Participants (PP), in a stationary form, individualized support - selection of counseling topics in accordance with the individual needs of the PP.
REALISATION: 6h/PP in the form of 3 individual meetings x 2 hours, within a maximum of 2 months for each PP. Meetings scheduled individually depending on the needs of the PP.
SCOPE:
- legal advice on matters including visa extension, renting apartments, obtaining benefits, settling other formalities related to the stay in Poland, the child's right/obligation to education, the right to health care, etc.
- assistance in dealing with various official matters, filling in forms and preparing letters;
- other support - tailored to specific needs. The participant can use the advice to the extent consistent with their own needs.
BENEFITS FOR PARTICIPANTS:
- reimbursement of travel costs (in the case of classes conducted outside the place of residence - funds were allocated for 50% of the PP),
- translator's support during classes (in the event that free communication between the instructor and the PP cannot be conducted in Polish - funds were allocated for approximately 50% of the PP).

Task 3 PSYCHOLOGICAL HELP
TASK IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD: 01.11.2024-31.05.2025
support for 60 adult Participants (PP), in a stationary form, individualized support - selection of counseling topics in accordance with the individual needs of the PP
REALISATION: 6h/UP = 3 individual meetings x 2 hours, within a maximum of 2 months for each PP.
Meetings scheduled individually depending on the needs of the PP. PLACE: equipped rooms for individual classes in the area of project implementation (rooms accessible to people with disabilities).
SCOPE:
- help in situations of stress overload related to migration and acculturation stress;
- coping with everyday difficulties (e.g. staying in a foreign country far from family/friends);
- consultations on individual difficulties related to mental health. The participant can use the advice to the extent consistent with their own needs.
BENEFITS FOR PARTICIPANTS:

Task 4 POLISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE COURSE
TASK IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD: 01.12.2024-31.07.2025
support for 120 adult Participants (PP) in a stationary form, group classes, in order to individualize support: assignment to groups of advancement in accordance with the individual level of language proficiency
REALISATION: 60h/gr. in the form of 15 meetings (on average -2 x per week on weekdays/weekends depending on the group's preference) x 4 lessons. Dates and times to be agreed with the group to allow for reconciliation of participation with caring/professional responsibilities. Average group size 10 people
SCOPE:
- communicating in Polish in basic everyday situations related to the organization
of life in Poland, traveling, handling official matters;
- writing short official and unofficial texts;
- understanding the most important content and intentions contained in simple written and spoken texts;
- mastering a basic vocabulary, grammar, spelling and punctuation rules;
- basic information about Polish geography, history, culture.
The level of the groups will be determined on the basis of a placement test conducted during the 1st class - based on the diagnosis carried out. The Applicant assumes that most PP will take part in the course at the basic level (level A1/A2). The possibility of a course at level B - intermediate is also provided. The course ends with a test checking the level of language advancement and receiving certificates of course completion.
MATERIALS AND BENEFITS FOR PARTICIPANTS:

- training materials necessary for the classes (textbook, exercises, notebook, pen),
- coffee refreshments.

Task 5 CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS
TASK IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD: 01.12.2024-30.06.2025
support for 120 PP adults and 60 refugee children in a stationary form, group classes, with a one-time participation of approx. 36 representatives of the host society
REALISATION:: 24h/group in the form of 4 meetings (on average once a week) x 6h. Dates and hours of classes agreed with the group.
GROUPS of 10 people (12 groups for adults and 6 groups for children)
The aim of the task is to introduce
MATERIALS AND BENEFITS FOR PP:
- entry ticket to a cultural event for all PPs and the host society
- voucher for additional activities for children
- reimbursement of travel costs,
- interpreter support during the activities,
- materials (information package in the form of a script),
- art materials for children,
- catering (lunch) for all PPs and the host society,
- reimbursement of travel costs (in the case of activities outside the place of residence - funds were assumed for 50% of the PP),

Task 6 TRAINING "ECO-COMPETENTS"
TASK IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD: 01.02.2025-31.07.2025
support for 120 Participants (PP) in a stationary form, group classes
REALISATION: 8h/group in the form of 1 meeting (on a working day/weekend depending on the group's preferences) x 8 hours of classes. Date and hours of classes agreed with the group in order to enable reconciliation of participation with caring/professional duties.
GROUPS of 10 people on average.
SCOPE:
- environmental protection in Polish and EU legislation - selected aspects;
- eco skills in everyday life (skills to segregate waste, save resources, e.g. water, save energy, show pro-environmental initiative).
